Hello,
I'm not sure if anyone still reads this blog anymore. I've been posting on my main blog for quite a while and let it slip.
I'm going to be living on a bit of a budget over the next few months. The money I have to live on is a bit more than $500 a month but my goal is to keep my expenses under that amount.
If anyone is still here and would like me to post on the subject, let me know in the comments below.
Peace,
Annie
Hi Annie,
ReplyDeleteI have been working my way through your 3 blogs for 3 days. You are an inspiring person. I too am a no poo girl as is my dog. No problem I have very long hair and I think because I don't add any products there is no guck to wash out.
I started reading about voluntary simplicity in the 1980s and love the low environmental impact of having less and owning less. I don't want my life to be about "stuff".
You have such great computer and technology skills. Have you considered being a "rent-a-nerd". We have them locally (Canada) and when we can't figure out our technology, which is often, we can pay $50 for them to come for an hour to set up or unsnarl technology. I would think women would love to have a female nerd to come to their house.
Hello Erin! I used to work as a computer technician but most of my clients actually ended up being males. I eventually stopped to focus on writing full time.
ReplyDeleteI do work on computers occasionally on a word-of-mouth basis still.
If you have any questions about the blogs don't hesitate to comment or shoot me an email at annie (at) annienygma.com!
Peace,
Annie
PS. I've never thought of taking my pets no-poo! What an interesting concept! Thanks!
Hi Annie,
ReplyDeleteI am still working through your http://annienygma.com/ blog. One think I would have commented on is if you are still making your own soy milk you might want to check out the website Okara Mountain. If you manage to us the left over soy pulp (okara) that will save you a ton of money. okaramountain.blogspot.com I hope you are not forcing yourself to eat dairy. I was a faithful milk drinker until I went vegan 3 years ago. I had my bone density measured before I gave up dairy and now three years later it has improved. I did not even think it was possible to improve bone density at age 50 but apparently I did it.
I just bought two of your books. Shoestring and TV. I just realized I did not pick a format so hopefully they will come in something I can read. We low tech people!
I am looking forward to reading how you manage your food budget. We live in the downtown area of our town and can walk to farmers markets three days a week. We try hard to support local. It is great fun to visit with the farmers and tell them what I am making with their food.
Keep up the great blogs. I am having a wonderful time reading them.
Erin
Dear Erin,
ReplyDeleteThank you for telling me about Okara Mountain! I will have to check them out.
On Smashwords you get to choose your own format. Most computers come with PDF readers so that may be the best one. You can also use epub and read that with Adobe Digital editions.
Let me know if you need help.
Peace,
Annie
It let me download text and pdf. Both work well and are easy to read. I was able to get a couple of sites to work in Canada. Hulu sounds wonderful but is not available in Canada. We do have several sites CBC, CTV, Slice etc that work well here. It is all interesting.
ReplyDeleteI expected your shoestring book to be more complex but you really broke it down to basics and living simply should not be complex so well done.
Have a great day!
Dear Erin,
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you liked the books! Thanks for letting me know.
Hugs,
Annie
